Canvas
Canvas is HCC's Learning Management System (LMS) which helps to organize both online and face-to-face courses. Canvas can be used to post assignment prompts and collect work from students online, facilitate online discussions, message students directly within Canvas, create online pages to host resources, videos and information, and facilitate and grade online quizzes.
Check out the videos below for tutorials on how to do each of these tasks within Canvas.

Google
The Google Apps Suite contains many different apps that can be used by students and faculty for free through their HCC emails. Although there are many apps available, some of the apps that are most frequently used by faculty for teaching are Google Docs (a collaborative word-processing app), Google Slides (a collaborative presentation creation tool), and Jamboard (a collaborative whiteboard). Below are video tutorials for how you can create and share each of these tools with your students.

Office 365
HCC subscribes to Microsoft Office 365 which contains a suite of tools such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and much more! Faculty and students have access to download the full version of Office 365 for free by signing into https://portal.office.com with their HCC email address and password. Office 365 can be used completely online (without installing the programs to your computer), or you may download the full suite of apps to your personal computer by clicking on the "Install Office" button on the Office 365 dashboard after signing in.
HCC uses Microsoft Outlook, which is a part of the Office 365 app suite, to manage our email system at the college. Outlook is available as a web app, an installable desktop app, as well as a mobile version you can access from your smartphone. The video below demonstrates how to access Outlook online and how to set it up on your mobile device.
