Remind

Remind is an organizational web application that allows you to keep track of students names, phone numbers and emails and send them reminders with attachments such as assignment instructions or PowerPoint lectures. You can set up Remind and encourage your students to use Remind using Google Voice phone numbers so that they don't exchange their personal phone numbers.
